Dear Students,

Please be informed that a briefing session for 2024 HKBU Summer Programme is scheduled at 15:00 of 20 March 2024 (Wed) at T2-101.

1. The Programme is scheduled from 3 to 31 July 2024. Here as follows some basic information about eligibility and course arrangements:

1) The Programme will be open for Year 1, 2 and 3 students only (by Semester 2 of 2023-24). 

2) Students may apply to take 1 course at least while 2 courses at most. Please refer to the link for the course list: https://ecm.uic.edu.hk/#doc/fld/66583

3) GPA requirement for enrollment:

Based on grade reports of Semester 1 of 2023-24, those students who score a cumulative GPA (cGPA) of less than 2.00, or the semester GPA (sGPA) of less than 1.67 will not be allowed to attend this Programme.

4) Please pay special attention to the pre-requisite of the courses (if any).

UIC reserves all rights and discretion not to allow students to attend this Summer Programme.

2. The purposes of HKBU Summer Programme are as follows:

1) To provide an excellent opportunity for students to experience study life inside the campus of HKBU, interact with local students, to participate in various site visits relevant to their studies and for experiential living in Hong Kong, including visiting Hong Kong enterprises and institutions, etc.;

2) To provide an excellent opportunity for students to take more units during the summer months. This is particularly important for students who will find that they can have more time during their fourth year to prepare for final year projects, to apply for job placements, and to apply for graduate studies;

Students may apply for transferring the summer courses back to UIC, after they have successfully completed and passed them in this Programme. The approval of unit transfer shall subject to UIC rules that governing unit transfer arrangements.

Special note: Food or drinks are NOT permitted in the T2-101!

       2024年香港浸会大学（HKBU）暑期课程简介会将于2024年3月20日（星期三）下午3点在T2-101举办，欢迎有兴趣的同学前来参加。座位数量有限，先到先得

一、2024年HKBU暑期课程时间为2024年7月3日至31日，为期约四周。报读的具体安排及要求如下：

1、此暑期课程项目仅面向一至三年级学生（以2023-24学年第二学期为准）开放。

3、参加本暑期课程项目的成绩要求：

2023-24学年第一学期成绩其累计GPA（cGPA）低于2.00或学期GPA（sGPA）低于1.67的同学将不允许参加此暑期课程。

4、部分科目可能有先修课程的要求。

UIC对同学参加此暑期课程的资格有最终裁定权。

二、UIC举办HKBU暑期课程的目的如下：

1、提供机会让同学们体验香港的社会生活及大学环境并与当地学生互动交流。在暑期课程中，校方还为同学们安排了丰富的社会实践活动，包括参观、参访香港某些机构、企业等；

2、提供机会让同学们多修学分。特别是高年级的同学可借此机会提前修读部分选修课程，以便在大四有更多的时间完成毕业论文、找工作或申请升读研究生课程；

同学们在暑期课程中成功获得的学分如果符合UIC学分转入规则可申请转入UIC。

特别提醒：保持T2-101场内卫生，请勿携带食物及饮料入场。
